Maintenance Guide

Maintenance Guide

Jewelry is the small detail that is easiest to enhance your daily styling. What makes me feel even more amazing is that many jewelry become more emotional when worn, and I can't bear to watch them break and fade... So, we specially sorted out the maintenance methods of jewelry made of common materials.

1. Silver maintenance methods
Many people like silver jewelry, but don't know how to maintain it. We even think that silver jewelry is difficult to maintain, but this is not the case. We only need to pay a little attention in our daily life to make the silver jewelry we wear look new for a long time.
    [Wear]
    1. The best maintenance method for silver jewelry is to wear it every day, because human body oil can make silver jewelry produce a natural and moist luster.
    2. When wearing silver jewelry, try not to wear other precious metal jewelry at the same time to avoid collision deformation or scratches. When doing housework or sleeping, it is best to take off the jewelry to prevent the jewelry from being deformed or broken due to heavy pressure or tension.
    3. Keep the silver jewelry dry and keep away from hot springs and sea water. Silver jewelry is easy to turn black when it comes into contact with cosmetics, perfumes, acid-base substances, and sulfides.
    [Clean up]
    1. Remember to clean the surface of the jewelry after each wearing and before storing. Gently wipe the surface with a cotton cloth to remove moisture and dirt, and then store it in a sealed bag to avoid contact with the air.
    2. If the silver ornaments show signs of yellowing, you can use a small jewelry brush to clean the fine seams of the silver ornaments, and then gently wipe the surface with a silver wiping cloth to restore the luster of the silver ornaments.
    3. Always wipe the ornaments with a silver cloth. It should be noted that when there are water droplets on the silver surface, do not use a silver cloth to wipe it. Don’t forget that the silver cloth will have no effect when it encounters water.
    2. Zircon maintenance method
    1. Try to avoid contact with chemicals, such as bleach, detergent, etc., and also avoid wearing it when doing housework.
    2. It can be cleaned with diluted soap solution, and then wiped clean with a soft cloth.
    3. Use a gold cloth to wipe off dirt and fingerprints on the surface.
    4. Jewelry needs to be stored independently, and it needs to be maintained and cleaned in the store every three months, and it is always worn and new.
    3. Crystal maintenance method
    1. Pay attention to cleaning. Generally, it can be soaked in dilute soapy water or detergent for a while, and then rinsed with water for 15 minutes.
    2. Do not place it in places with strong electromagnetic waves, such as TVs, computers, and stereos.
    3. Be careful of collisions. Crystals are brittle and easily damaged by collision with hard objects, even if crystals collide with crystals.
    4. When the ornaments are not worn, they should be packed separately, and put together with other ornaments. They should also be wrapped separately.
    5. For colored crystals, try to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
    6. You should not wear crystals in the bath.
    7. Try not to wash the crystal with hot water, as it is easy to damage the crystal when it is hot and cold.
    8. For crystal ornaments, especially necklaces or bracelets, pay attention to whether the silk rope is damaged or aged, and pay more attention to the place where the silk rope meets the joint. If a problem is found, the silk rope should be replaced in time.
    9. Avoid the erosion of acid and alkali substances. Ordinary acids and alkalis are not easy to damage crystals, but they are more likely to damage accessories of ornaments or metals inlaid with crystals.
    4. Pearl maintenance method
    1. Pearl jewelry should not be exposed to sunlight, avoid ultraviolet radiation, and should not be in contact with perfume, oil, strong acid, strong alkali and other chemical substances to prevent pearls from losing luster, fading, and damage.
    2. Strictly avoid contacting pearls with sharp and rough substances (including their particles), especially not allowing friction and pressure between them, so as to maintain the perfect shape of pearls.
    3. When wearing pearls, it is advisable to choose a season when the weather is cool and the body sweats less, and it is not suitable to wear rough clothes. When performing strenuous exercise or physical labor, it is best to take off pearl jewelry.
    4. To clean pearl ornaments, wash slowly with water or a very dilute neutral lotion, then wipe off the water with a soft cloth, and place in a cool place.
    5. Go to the store for maintenance every three months.
A piece of jewelry, no matter how much it is worth, has decorated our clothes and mood countless times. Store it separately according to its characteristics, be diligent in replacing and wearing it, and take good care of it. They will be the icing on the cake for our everyday attire for a long time to come.
